Vwin II offers more standard, desirable features not commonly found with other controllers. Some of the outstanding functions included with all Vwin II bundled software packages are 2000 lines resolution in Random, Limit/Notching, Export Data & Graphics Utility, Import ASCII Utility, Test Data Overlay, Multi-user Password Protection, Sine COLA Output, Shock External Trigger, Channel Aborts, and Network Operation.
SMART Tool
Bundled packages include the SMART Tool, which provides for manual sinusoidal oscillator operation with output amplitude and frequency adjustments. The accelerometer signals are measured and displayed graphically. The SMART Tool is extremely useful for evaluating fixtures and test specimen, and is an excellent diagnostic tool for verifying overall system operation and locating faults. The SMART Tool is offered exclusively by UD and is a "must" for any lab.
High Performance Workstation
Includes a high performance workstation as standard: An Intel Core 2 Duo Processor, 1 GB DDRAM, a large 250 GB HDD and a 19" Flat Panel LCD Display.
Integration & Calibration Prior to Shipping
UD performs complete hardware / software integration, testing and calibration of the Vwin II at the UD factory prior to shipment, ensuring "out of the box" operation, without further cumbersome hardware settings, file loading, or software configuration selections.
Proven, Field-tested Design
Vwin II was built by a shaker system company (not a third party software company) that has extensive experience with the vibration test industry’s overall test requirements and fully understands the dynamics of the shaker/amplifier and controller interaction. As an end user itself, UD appreciated the utility of the Vwin II as a powerful but simple and productive control/analysis tool.
Easily Expandable in the Field
Vwin II has 4, 8 and 16 channel configurations available. Other controllers may not be expandable or require additional external hardware.
Designed for Highest Shock / Random Performance
Specially designed control algorithms help achieve the highest Shock / Random performance from the shaker system. Some controllers require up to 50% more velocity or stroke for the same test.
Optimum Hardware Design
Optimum hardware design maximizes dynamic range and signal to noise ratio, utilizing 24-bit precision scaling stages for each input and output. Competitive controllers utilize cheaper, less capable designs, resulting in lower overall system performance.
User-Friendly
Vwin II provides an extremely user friendly, intuitive interface with single point/click commands and a centralized Home Page that smoothly integrates and coordinates the test setup parameters, running the tests, analysis of the vibration, and storage / retrieval of test data. This is in sharp contrast to the competitor’s.
SA Command Link
SA Command Link option is an exclusive UD feature. The SA Amplifier / Shaker control panel operations, including start-up and shutdown can be initiated and monitored directly from the Vwin II Controller screen. All status indicator lights as well as the output current & voltage readings are displayed at the Vwin II . The Power Save mode, will automatically power down the SA Series Amplifier, field supply and cooling system after a test is finished or if the test aborts for any reason. Current and voltage limit selections offer further system and test item protection.
Word Report Generator
Word Report Generator makes post-test document generation a single mouse click away. Test report content is user configurable in a simple to use, configuration template. Selected test setup parameters, the test reference spectrum, Status information, user defined text, and test graphical data can be included in the report, then edited, printed or sent via email as a word document.

Electrodynamic Seismic Test System

New Electrodynamic Seismic Test System

Unholtz-Dickie introduces a new vibration test system that performs the diverse requirements of the Bellcore (GR-63-CORE) test specification for telecommunications equipment. This new system combines the high frequency, low noise benefits of an electrodynamic shaker with long stroke capability.

Until now, multiple test systems were required to run all the vibration tests requirements of the Bellcore specification. Typically, a standard electrodynamic shaker would be used to run the Office and Transportation Vibration profiles, while a long stroke hydraulic actuator would be used to run the Seismic Waveform.

Major advances in long stroke electrodynamic shaker design allow all tests to be run on one test system, resulting in lower capital equipment costs, as well as increased performance and test accuracy.
