Non-Gaussian Random ControlThe VWIN II Random Test Control now offers an optional Non-Gaussian Control feature. This provides for a Non-Gaussian amplitude distribution with greater occurrence of amplitude peaks and higher Kurtosis values. Recent studies in this area have suggested that normal Gaussian distribution may not accurately reproduce the service environment. For normal Gaussian distributed waveforms, the majority of the peaks (99.9984%) are within 4X the test RMS. For a Non-Gaussian field environment, higher peaks may occur, extending into the range of 4-12 (or more) times the test RMS. Contact a UD Application Engineer for details. |
Three inch Stroke Shakers now Available.Unholtz-Dickie is pleased to announce 3 inch (76 mm) stroke is now optionally available on UD shaker's rated from 9,000 to 50,000 lbf. New Armature Size for the S452 ShakerThe popular S452 medium force range shaker system (4,500 - 6,000 pounds force) is now available with either a 12 inch (305 mm) or a 16 inch (406 mm) diameter armature table. The multi-ribbed armature design provides high resonance frequency and low mass, and is ideal for testing medium sized products, or multiple smaller test items. |
New Extended Stroke T2000-3, T4000-3, T5000-3 Vibration SystemsUnholtz-Dickie now offers the popular Induct-A-Ring Shaker System's (T2000, T4000, T5000) with optional extended stroke capability. Developed for those test specifications that require more than the standard 2 inch pk-pk stroke, the new shakers are rated at a full 3 inches (76 mm) pk-pk. Contact a UD Applications Engineer for system specifications. |
New Extended Stroke R-Series Vibration Test SystemThe R16 Series Shaker Systems now offered with optional extended stroke capability (up to 3 inches (76 mm) pk-pk). Rated from 9,000 to 13,000 pounds force, the Extended Stroke R16-3 supports a variety of applications for medium to large payloads. The extended stoke option satisfies numerous transportation and shock specifications that require more stroke than conventional 2" shakers can provide. |
New High Frequency Shock SystemUnholtz-Dickie introduces ultra-high Shock performance with the new Model SAI180-S092-MXA electrodynamic shaker system. This system is capable of accurately reproducing 5,000 g SRS shock pulses at frequencies to 10,000 Hz. Applications include testing of sensors, fuses, weapons sights, and other military hardware and aerospace components. |
New Electrodynamic Seismic Test SystemUnholtz-Dickie introduces a new vibration test system that performs the diverse requirements of the Bellcore (GR-63-CORE) test specification for telecommunications equipment. This new system combines the high frequency, low noise benefits of an electrodynamic shaker with long stroke capability.Until now, multiple test systems were required to run all the vibration tests requirements of the Bellcore specification. Typically, a standard electrodynamic shaker would be used to run the Office and Transportation Vibration profiles, while a long stroke hydraulic actuator would be used to run the Seismic Waveform. Major advances in long stroke electrodynamic shaker design allow all tests to be run on one test system, resulting in lower capital equipment costs, as well as increased performance and test accuracy.

New High Frequency Vibration Test SystemUnholtz-Dickie now offers a special high frequency armature for the popular H560 electrodynamic shaker series. This large 13 inch armature design increases the resonance frequency, allowing full 6,500 lbf sine performance to 4,000 Hz, and 6,500 lbf random performance to 5,000 Hz. This system is ideal for high frequency testing of medium size products for the aviation, defense, automotive and electronic industries. |
New 1500 g Shock TestExtreme Shock performance with the new Model S092-UX electrodynamic shaker system. This new system is capable of accurately reproducing 1,500 g half-sine and 4,000 g SRS shock pulses, for use on small products. Applications include reliability testing of disk drives, fuses, air bag sensors, and aerospace components. |
TRAC (Time Replication Acceleration Control) VibrationFinally, real world vibration testing is achievable in the test lab utilizing TRAC control software! Test engineers can precisely reproduce long time waveforms (up to 20 minutes) of captured vibration events to 2,000 Hz. Cycling of whole/parts of the waveform allow for thousands of hours of testing. Applications include qualification, accelerated life, endurance and buzz, squeak and rattle testing of automotive components. |
SA-Command LinkThe Vwin II now offers an optional RS232 Amplifier/Shaker interface and a software command/status panel to operate UD's newly enhanced SA and SAI Series amplifier/shaker systems. The SA-Command Link provides identical functionality as the standard SA/SAI Amplifier front panel switch buttons, LED status indicators and current/voltage meters. In addition, it provides a "Power Save" selection to automatically power down the UD SA/SAI amplifier/shaker system after a test has finished or aborted. Now the complete UD test system can be initiated, monitored, and controlled from one convenient location.Amplifier Shaker Startup
