Export Data Utility

The export data utility provides a simple method to convert the saved graphical data into other convenient formats (JPEG, TIFF, GIF, or PNG) for integration into word processing documents or other Windows applications. The data can also be exported into tabular format (ASCII, SMS Modal, UFF) for further processing and manipulation by other Windows applications and for simple tabular presentations. An Auto-Export feature is available to allow for automatic ASCII file generation upon completion of the test.

Word Report Generator

The Word Report Generator makes post-test document generation a single mouse click away. Test report content is user configurable in a simple to use, configuration template. Selected test setup parameters, the test reference spectrum, status information, user defined text, and test graphical data can be included in the report, then edited, printed or sent via email as a word document.

Remote Interface

The Remote Interface options for APEX SL offer the user a variety of versatile and flexible selections for remote control of the vibration test. Whether interfacing a thermal chamber for combined vibration and thermal testing, or a functional test system, the remote options provide three levels of sophistication as basic as starting and stopping a test (Start and Stop with simple contact closures) to virtually full command and status functionality (RS232 or Net Connect).

  • Remote Digital I/O Interface (Dedicated Signal Input/Output)
    • Start, Stop, Test ID Selection Input Commands
    • Contact Closure or TTL
    • Output Status - Test Finished, Test Aborted, Test Running
    • Opto-coupled Inputs and Outputs
  • RS232 Remote Interface (via external computer)
    • Serial Commands/Status
    • Commands:  Select Test, Start, Auto, Manual, Up/Down, Pause, Resume, Stop, Store Data, etc.
    • Status:  includes Test Type, Test Time, Auto/Manual, Test Finished, Test Aborted, Amplitude, and Frequency
    • Commands/Status Utilizing Ethernet Connection
    • Peer to Peer Communication
    • Remote Operation/Status via Internet Connection

TSDM (Test Setup Data Manager)

For Setup and Data Manager menu functionality, the TSDM option offers a separate application that can be licensed to any number of independent, isolated computer stations or multiple clients on the network. This software provides the same user interface and functionality as the main APEX SL for test definition and review of saved data.  This is a convenient way to create tests and/or review test data without disrupting the Apex SL Host Computer.

Transducer Calibration

The transducer calibration software is used in conjunction with the TSC Signal Conditioner, 8B6 reference accelerometer, mounting bridge adapter, and appropriate shaker system to perform transducer calibrations (accelerometers and velocity transducers). A sinusoidal signal is utilized for precise back-to-back calibration. Standard features include:

  • Fast, precisely controlled comparison calibration of accelerometers and velocity transducers, 2 Hz to 10,000 Hz.
  • Sine sweep or stepped frequency modes
  • Accelerometer sensitivity range: 0.1 to 5,000 pc/g or mv/g
  • Velocity transducer sensitivity range: 0.2 to 5,000 mv-sec/in
  • Graph display of UUT sensitivity, % deviation and phase angle vs. freq.
  • Tabular listing of sensitivity and deviation at operator-selected frequencies.
  • Automatic Calibration Certificate printout with NIST traceable data.

For new applications, UD offers the complete Model 680C Transducer Calibration System
