H-Series Electrodynamic Shakers

The H-Series provides an intermediate force range of vibration test systems consisting of the SAI Series Class D power amplifier with integrated DC field supply, H560B electrodynamic shaker and a remote cooling blower. Systems are provided as complete packages including EMI shielded console with 3-phase line filtering, interface cabling, integrated safety interlocks, and full featured interface panel for the power amplifier. All systems are direct coupled for maximum rated performance and require no transformer reconnections or switching circuits.

The performance of the H-Series supports a wide variety of vibration test applications including product development and design conformance, qualification and certification, and production screening.

All of the H560 Series configurations are totally air-cooled, an important feature that reduces the cost of installation and operation. Both the SAI Series power amplifier and the H560 electro-dynamic shaker are cooled by forced air.

Quiet mode circuitry is optionally available for Buzz, Squeak & Rattle applications for operation without the cooling blower (eliminates the blower acoustic noise) at reduced force.

High Shock Capability

The Model H560B-16-3 Shaker is offered in three new High Shock system configurations, utilizing enhanced power amplifier Models SAI65F (65 KVA), the Model SAI95 (95 KVA), or Model SAI125 (125 KVA).  Each system will accurately reproduce a wide range of shock pulses, including the popular 100g - 11msec half-sine pulse.   

2 inch (51 mm) or 3 inch (76 mm) Displacement Options

The H560 Series shaker is rated for 2 inch (51 mm) displacement, a requirement for many transportation vibration specifications and for long duration shock pulse testing. A 3 inch (76 mm) displacement option is now available for the H560B-24 Shaker and H560B-16 shakers.

Internal Load Support

800 lbs (362 kg) internal pneumatic load support including automatic armature centering is provided as standard on the H560B-12, with 1,360 lbs (618 kg) included for the H560B-16, and 1,500 lbs (680 kg) for the H560B-24.

Rugged, Lightweight Armatures

Cast from high-strength magnesium, the H560 Series armature incorporates a multi-ribbed table for maximum stiffness and minimum weight. For higher frequency applications, an "A" version system is available (aluminum alloy in place of magnesium). The construction and low weight of these armatures allow greater versatility for applications requiring high g level testing, testing large, heavy payloads, or high frequency testing. The H-series offers three armature diameter sizes to allow selection of the best performance to payload weight ratio.

Head Expanders

For applications involving large and heavy payloads, the H560 can be fitted with a variety of head expanders ranging in size from 24 x 24 inch (610 x 610 mm) to 48 x 48 inch (1,219 x 1,219 mm). Designed for 2,000 Hz operation, some of these head expander are offered with integral linear bearings and additional pneumatic load support of up to 2,000 lbs (907 kg). Combined Environment Testing

The H560 Series is very popular for applications requiring combined environment testing, specifically combinations involving temperature, humidity and vibration. All three base options support combined environment testing and allow simple integration with chambers manufactured by all of the leading thermal chamber companies worldwide. Thermal barriers, an oil pan heater for the slip table, and remote system startup from an external contact closure are available.
